Chinta ‘Mario Pusa’ Chisambo provided the class to open the scoring as Crewe Reserves ran out 4-1 victors at Wallace Park against Stranmillis.
Crewe Reserves continued to keep up the pressure on Oxford and Lower Maze at the top of Reserve Division 2 with a comprehensive demolition of Starnmillis. The first goal came from the on-fire Chinta Chisambo with a superb stike from 25 yards after a smart lay off from Tucker Heaney. Chisambo ran on to the through ball and fired into the top corner to notch up his tenth goal of the season and his 5th in 4 games.
Tommy Kempson added a second soon after as he won a penalty after a great run and slotted home the penalty kick himself, sending the Stranmillis keeper the wrong way.
Half time: 0-2
In the second half Crewe again came out fighting pressurising the Stranmillis defence. A third was added soon after as Tommy Kempson added a second with a tap in after superb work from Heaney down the right flank. Henaey deservedly got on the score sheet as he lobbed in the forth for Crewe to make sure the three points were safely heading back to Glenavy.
Stranmillis grabbed a consolation but overall it was another superb performance which moved Crewe again within touching distance of the promotion spot currently held by Oxford. Crewe travel to Markethill on Saturday and need to secure another three vital points.
Full time: 1-4
