Crewe Reserves won again 4-2 against Derryhirk as they turn Crewe Park into a Fortress on the league run-in. The firsts took a superb point from Omagh United, drawing 1-1.
Crewe Reserves continued their recent winning form with a convincing 4-2 victory against Derryhirk United at Crewe Park. The goals came from Paddy McKeown, Kevin Cassidy, Chinta Chinsambo and Joe Patterson who scored his first of the season with a peach of a strike from 25 yards.
It keeps the pressure up on Oxford who also won but Oxford have still to visit Crewe Park before the end of the season. The reserves next game is away to Stranmillis at Wallace Park this coming Thursday.
Meanwhile the first team made the long trip to Omagh United in their penultimate game of the season. Mickey Tohill scored his 15th goal of the season and earned the Glenavy men a great point at a ground where no too many teams come away with anything. It was a much improved performance after the disappointing display against Dollingstown in midweek.
The first teams final game of the season is away to Tandragee Rovers on Tuesday night.
