Crewe Reserves continued to fight all the way for promotion with a 3-1 victory against Blackers Mill. The First team however lost 3-2 in the local derby game with Lower Maze
The First teams superb recent run canme to an abrupt end as Lower Maze, still not safe from relegation, came from 2-1 down to secure a vital three points for them. Crewe started brightly and scored when Mickey Tohill struck. Maze fought back however and equalised soon after. After good persistance Sid McCrory pit the home side 2-1 up.
The lead was again short lived and Lower Maze dominated play in the second half and deservedly won the game after mistakes at the back from Duff and McCarty for each of their goals.
The Firsts are back in action on Tuesday (13th) away to Dollingstown.
Meanwhile the Reserves moved up to 4th in the table with a superb win away to fellow promotion chasers Blackers Mill. Goals from Chris Haggerty, Michael Kelly and the returning Kevin Cassidy secured all three points for the Glenavy men.
