Rovers Wreck Crewe

Tandragee Rovers ran out 3-2 deserved winners at Madden Road against Crewe in the last game of the season for the First team.

It was a disappointing first half display from Crewe, going 3-0 down in the first 25 minutes of the game. A lack of urgency and commitment conspired to allow Tandragee to take full andvantage and they were well worth their three goal lead at the interval. All three goals came from set pieces and Crewe will be disappointed by the way they defended in the lead up to the three goals.

In the second period Crewe came out and showed a bit more desire and will to win and the second half scoreline was reflective of this. The first came after Sid McCrory had whipped in a cross from a free kick and it squirmed under the Tandragee keeper. The second came with ten minues to go and Paul Coughlan executed a superb chip into the back of the net. Mickey Tohill also had a goal ruled out or offside.

There could be no complaints though with the final outcome as the curtain closes on another season for the Crewe First team with a mid table position secured.
