Crewe Out For Derby Win

Crewe United travel to Lower Maze this Tuesday (16th) for their opening league game against their local derby rivals. Crewe will hope to open the new campaign with three points to ensure a good start to the league.

Crewe travel to Lower Maze with some of last seasons regulars Tommy Kempson, Mickey Riley and Brendy Mooney unavailable but will be in a positive mood after a good pre season and the tough games they have come through with a lot of credit against Warrington and H&W Welders.

Crewe welcome back Pistol Pete McCabe for his first league game in 22 months and it has been great to see him in the Crewe shirt once more. Crewe have added Sam Gove to their squad this season and the mecurial Sid McCrory is also waiting in the wings to push for a first team start after returning to the club.

It is a mouth watering game to kick the league season off as Crewe look to improve on last years 7th place finish.
