Formal A Huge Success!

Posted on October 18 2011 by Thomas

Crewe United’s Annual Formal was a resounding success as 180 people packed into the Park Plaza Hotel. Mark Beattie Photography has released pictures available for purchase.

Mark Beattie Photography kindly gave of his free time last Saturday night at the Crewe United Formal to produce some fantastic pictures from the night. The club would ask everyone to support him and his generous act as all photos are available to purchase online here . Please note all photos are copyright of Mark Beattie.

The night kicked off with the drinks reception – including a magnificent ice sculpture which also cooled a few drinks down!! The drink cooler/ice sculpture was made by Northern Ireland Ice Sculptures and was a great focal point for the reception.

Then on to the main event and as the food was washed down with some beverages (mostly alcoholic!) those present enjoyed the traditional Irish tunes from Blackthorn. Next up was ‘This Way Up’ who were a great band to have at the formal, getting the crowd involved and everyone on their feet.

It was great to see our friends from Warrington again as well as representatives from Lisburn City Council. The legendary Ron Wilson returned for ‘one night only’ as many old faces returned to celebrate 50 years of Crewe. Overall a great night was had and no doubt many more formals will form part of the Crewe history.
