DEFENDERS

Gavin Carlisle: Centre Half
Gavin is a recent recruit to the Crewe ranks. Signed from Finaghy United, he is commanding in the air and has done well in pre-season outings. More to come from the big man.
Aaron Tohill: Centre Back/Right Back
“Arso” has been at the club for a number of years now, and still gives the same level of commitment week in week out regardless of wether he is in the 1st team or 2nd team. Can run all day and is ferocious in the tackle, hes also an extremely strong presence in the air. Often is mistaken for BONO around the streets of Belfast. Boots: Umbro Speciali
Conor McCarthy: Centre Half/Left Back
Conor, aka…..well aka’poor’, can play left abck or centre half. Has captained the side rgeularly at such a young age and is a potent attacking threat. Great in the air and fearless in the tackle. You wont find many more skillful full-backs. Dead-ball specialist.Boots: Adidas Adipure
Micky Reilly: Centre Half/Right Back
Micky was another of the new additions this year, and he provided the much needed steel we had missed over that last season or two. Mick could beat a T-Rex in the air. He is fearless and loves a physical battle, but dont let that fool you, he can go past a man with ease and has an eye for a pass, thus known as “Der Kaiser”.Boots: Umbro Speciali Cup
Scott J Bingham: Right Back
Scott J Bingham. Captain. Warrior. Leader. TROJAN. All these describe the man. Leads by example, would tackle a brick wall, and then beat it in the air. He is fearless and wants nothing but to win. Shifted into midfield in the later part of the season and began to run the show. Has become a real clubman and would do anything for anyone. Everyone loves Bing.Boots: Adidas Adinova IV
Chris Haggerty: Left Back
“Hags” has reverted to left back and been a revelation. He has an unreal array of passing and a touch to die for. Strong in the air and on the ground, hes a talker who settles everyone down. In his second spell at Crewe and ar real clubman at heart. Closet X-Factor lover. Boots: Adidas Adipure III
Sam Gove: Centre Back
Sam has been pretty much a revelation since he signed in pre-season.  Sam has strength in the tackle and powerful strike, and is composed, Hansen-esq when on the ball. A fellow Scotsman, him and Bing have conversations that no one understands, but it works. Plenty more to come, watch this space. Boots: Nike CTR360
Joe Patterson:Left Back
Joe is the aul hand of the squad and is also Reserve team manager. 45, and still going strong he puts some of the younger lads to shame in training. Known to be ‘vocal’ on the pitch, at times could use a volume control. For dedication and commitment you wont find better.Boots: 1959 Puma King Vintage
Eamonn Cregan: Right Back/Centre Back
Another of the 2010/11 season’s new recruits, and finished the season as Player of the Year, which was totally deserved. Mr consistent. Eamo started the season as a centre back and performed well, he was switched with Micky during the season and it all fell into place. Turned wingers and full backs inside out at times and was almost impossible to get round. Weighed in with some important goals as well. Can get even better.Boots: Adidas Predator X
