MIDFIELDERS

Martin McManus: Centre Midfield
Marty has been a stalwart of the Crewe set-up for many years now, and is a first team regular. Central midfield or centre back, im not even sure where his best position is anymore as he is so adept at both. Cool, calm and collected, Martys ability to pass with either foot starts a lot of the Crewe attacks. Just classy.Boots: Nike t90 Laser
Pete McCabe: Centre Midfield
‘Pistol’ Pete has just returned after a serious knee injury. An absolute powerhouse in midfield he is unplayable on his day. Getting stronger with every game, Pete is sure to torture midfields and defences alike this season as he gets back to his best. Crewe through and through and a two time Crewe player of the year winner.
Scott Mulligan: Left Midfield/Right Midfield /Centre Midfield
The Beckham wannabe. Skillful winger with an eye for a nutmeg. Current players player of the year. Returned at the start of last season after a short spell with Dunmurry Rec And is glad to be back. Enjoyed a productive season weighing in with some great goals and assists.Boots: Adidas Predator Powerswerve DB
Aidan McCrory: Centre Midfield/Striker
‘The General’ and Captain of the reserve team for the last 2-3 years, something was awakened inside Aidso which prompted him to win his first team place back last season. Came into the side and provided a real calming influence in the middle of the field as well as passing which can only be described as “silky”. Aidso looked at his best when stroking the ball around and dictating the play, something we hope to see much more of this season.Boots: Adidas Copa Mundial
Kevin Cassidy: Centre/Right Midfield
“Cass” has returned to the club after a brief period of retirement. Bags of ability and can ghost past players at will. Always works hard for the team and an eye for goal when he gets inside the box.
Conor Hogan: Centre Midfield
Conor had just signed for Crewe with his previous team being Albion Star. A silky midfielder everyone at Crewe is excited about getting Conor into the Crewe shirt. Clearly a footballer of pedigree with his cousin Liam currently playing for Carrick Rangers. Already fitted in well to the Crewe banter.
Thomas Coleman: Centre Midfield
Tommy is yet another who returned to the club this season, and another who joined from Sport & Leisure. A strong and dominant central midfielder Tommy is the hub of all that the reserve team do. A leader and vital for team spirit Tommy is a big presence in the changing room and on the pitch. Current reserve team Player of the Year and leader of the “Holy Trunks” movement, of which quite a few Crewe players are members.Boots: Nike Tiempo
Jim Franklin: Centre Midfield
Jim, yet another who returned this year, is a skillful midfielder with unbelieveable aerial prowess. Strong in the tackle and a willing runner, Jim is always the positive voice in the changing room.Boots: Adidas Adinova
Chris Black: Centre Midfield
“Blackie”(or Whitey) as he is affectionately known has become a mainstay of the team in the last couple of years. A player with limitless potential Blackie has continually added to his game over the last year. A strong runner with endless energy, Blackie has become very strong in the air. Sure to be a fixture for years to come.Boots: Umbro Speciali Cup
Paul Coughlin: Right Midfield/Left Midfield/Striker
Quiet(when not drinking) and unassuming, but when on the pitch Paul just wants to run at full backs. Lightning quick with an explosive turn of pace and a wicked shot, Paul is a defenders nightmare, because he is just so direct. A confidence player who has no right to ever be under estimate himself, a match winner.Boots: Adidas t90 Strike
Dennis Reid: Right/Left Midfielder
Dee is another who returned last year. A sustained run in the Reserves saw him score goal after goal and was rewarded by being called into the first team toward the end of last season. Has all the tools to be a quality player and will never shirk a tackle. Fecking Bonkers.Boots: Adidad Predator Powerswerve
Martin McCartney: Centre Midfield

Marty is the definition of a “Rolls Royce” footballer. Smooth in touch, pass, skill and even the way he runs. A player who maybe doesnt realise just how good he is. Marty is someone who should be a regular in the first team squad. Capable of running a game single-handedly, and has done on occasion.Boots: Nike Tiempo
